HISTORY

Holidays Mutts of Greenwich is staffed 365 days a year, however, service is different on holidays. On holidays we will not come unless specifically scheduled, even if the holiday falls under a regularly scheduled day.


Here’s a list of 2012 holidays:


Easter                                     April 7-8

Memorial Day Weekend           May 26-28

Fourth of July                           July 4

Labor Day                               September 1-3

Thanksgiving Weekend             November 22-25

Christmas                                December 24-25

New Years Eve                        December 31, January 1 


Any holidays not listed above will be treated as normal days. Please notify us in advance if you will not require service.




Scheduling Mutts of Greenwich seeks to be as flexible as possible and allows cancellations as late as 9am without penalty as well as additions or changes made 12 hours prior to service without additional fee. We will always attempt to accommodate all requests if possible.




Time Windows In order to be as flexible as possible and meet the needs of all of our clients, walks and visits occur within a 2-hour time window. So, for example, if a walk is requested at 9:30am, it will be conducted between 9am -11am each day.




Preparing for the Walk So that as much of each appointment is spent walking as possible, we as the the following procedures be observed:


-All dogs should have ID tags at all times


-Collars, Leashes & Harnesses should be at the ready in a consistent location.


-During inclement weather, towels & other implements should be provided by the client.

Policies & Procedures

Where do you walk dogs? Our service currently covers the communities of Greenwich.


How do I sign up? Signing up couldn’t be easier. Just call us up or drop us an e-mail and we will schedule a consultation to develop a unique service plan for your animals.


Is the company bonded & insured? Yes.


What animals do you care for? Any domestic animal from lizards to birds to dogs & cats. 


Does my dog need to be trained? No. In fact, the routines developed can actually improve a dog’s behavior. Additionally, our pet-care providers can aid in specific training techniques to insure coherent behavior.


Will my dog be walked alone? In general, no. One of the advantages of the walk is exercise and socialization. However, if your pet’s special needs require it be walked alone we will gladly do so for an additional fee.


Where will you walk my dog? Of course it varies depending on your location, but we maintain a consistent route from day to day.


Can you attend to my animal’s special needs? Absolutely. Though we are not veterinary technicians, we are familiar with most applications of medicine, injections, etc. We can work with you to develop a care plan that works. 


How do you handle extreme weather? With your animal’s comfort and safety in mind, we can provide abbreviated walks and other special allowances as needed.


Do I have to be home? No. We will have access to your residence to insure your schedule remains flexible.


How do you access my home? You will provide us with a key and any codes necessary.  Our proprietary key handling system insures total security for your home and animals.
